MPPT controller 20A for all available types of batteries with a system voltage
of 12V or 24V and for PV panels with a max. output of 260W(12V) or 520W(24V)
with a max. input voltage of 55V and a min. input voltage of 1V higher than the
battery charging voltage . It is therefore also suitable for panels with a
system voltage of 12V, which generate 16-18V at maximum load. Using an internal
inverter, this controller adjusts the V-A characteristic of the current
source-solar panel to be optimal for charging the battery. It can use the energy
from the solar panels better than the PWM controller, which regulates charging
only by pulse limiting the direct connection of the solar panel and the battery,
where the pulse width is proportional to the state of the battery being charged.
In other words, the MPPT controller can generate the ideal voltage and current
for charging the battery from the higher voltage and lower current of the
source. For example, it converts 18V and 5A to 14.5V/6.2A. The conversion
efficiency of the V-A characteristic is usually over 95%, so the losses are
minimal and the regulators can usually be adapted to different types of
batteries so that the charging is as optimal as possible. Technical parameters:
- system voltage 12 V or 24 V, usable batteries: Pb AGM, Pb AGM GEL, Pb liquid,
LiFePO4 - max. power of PV panels: 260W (520W-24V) for maximum use of the
controller. When using a more powerful panel, the full power will not be used,
but the function of the regulator will be preserved without damage. - max. PV
panel voltage: 55V (-20°C), 50V(+25°C) - min. PV panel voltage when using a 12V
