Battery protection Smart BP-100 12/24V
Appliance disconnector as protection against deep battery discharge. Maximum
load current 100 A. Integrated Bluetooth for easy setup. Battery protection
Smart BatteryProtect protects the battery from excessive discharge (which could
damage the battery) and can be used as an on / off system switch. Automatic
setting 12 / 24V BatteryProtect battery protection automatically detects system
voltage. Integrated Bluetooth = very easy to program Thanks to the integrated
Bluetooth function for Smart BatteryProtect programming, the required voltage
levels for connecting / disconnecting the load can be easily set. You can make
settings via smartphone, tablet or PC using the VictronConnect app.
Alternatively, one of the nine preset connection / disconnection levels can be
set using the programming pin (see manual). Bluetooth can be turned off if
needed. VictronConnect application Download the application for free under the
name VictronConnect app in the App Store or Google Play. The application can be
downloaded from this Victron Energy software website:

Special settings for Li-ion batteries In this mode, Smart BatteryProtect
protection can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS bus. Note: Smart BatteryProtect
can also be used as a charge disconnector between a battery charger and a Li-ion
battery. See the wiring diagram in the manual. Very low energy consumption Low
power consumption is very important for Li-ion batteries, especially after
switching off at low voltage. For more information, please see the Li-ion
battery datasheet and VE.Bus BMS manual. Overvoltage protection In the event of
an overvoltage resulting in possible damage to sensitive devices, the devices
are disconnected if the DC voltage exceeds 16 V or 32 V. Resistant to sparks It
does not work with relay elements but with MOSFET transistor switches, no
sparking occurs. Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated if the
battery voltage drops below the set value for more than 12 seconds. Starting the
engine therefore does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is an open
collector output to negative bus, max. current 500 mA. The alarm output is
typically connected to a buzzer or traffic light. Delayed load disconnection The
load is disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm is triggered. If the battery
voltage rises to this level during this time Connection thresholds (eg during
motor starting), the load will not be disconnected. The load reconnects 30
seconds after the battery voltage rises to more than the preset reconnect
voltage. BatteryProtect battery protection is one-way, ie. current can only flow
from the in input to the out output. Reverse current flowing from the out output
to the in input is not permitted and will damage the device.
